Dharwad: The Congress party workers staged a protest in Dharwad under the leadership of KPCC secretary Nagraj Gouri condemning a steep hike in fuel prices. As a part of KPCC president DK Shivakumar’s call to launch ‘100 not out campaign’ to condemn steep hike in fuel prices.
In many cities and towns, the petrol price cross Rs 100 per litre mark. Congress leader Nagaraj Gouri and others staged a protest in front of a Reliance Petrol bunk in Vidyagiri.
In a mock demonstration, a protester wearing a mask of Modi filled petrol to the bikes.
Speaking on the occasion, Gouri demanded the Union Government to immediately reduce the fuel prices as the surge in the fuel price directly causing inflation and poor and common man suffering a lot in this pandemic. They raised slogans against Prime Minister Modi and Union Government.
Congress leaders Atmanand Talwar, Mahaveer Shivannavar, Manjunath Katti, Parashuram Mane, Shanmukh Betgeri, James, Rohit Kalal, Praveen Vanahallimath, Mahantesh Koliwad, Arjun Katrimal and others were present.
