Hubballi: Finally, doctors at the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) received support from their colleagues in their fight against a news channel for using abusive language in an alleged sting operation and casting a few doctors in a poor light. The sting operation claimed that they skip their work and draw a salary for doing nothing.
The sting operation outraged the KIMS doctors, alleging that it was indeed a ‘paid’ sting operation that was aired with the sole purpose of tarnishing the image of genuine doctors and the KIMS institute. They also staged a flash protest recently.
“The entire doctor community is upset with the sting operation, and we discovered many errors in the sting operation,” said a doctor
The doctors have been rallying support from their colleagues, and the Indian Medical Association’s Karnataka Branch recently issued a press release admonishing the incident.
The Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences Doctors Association (KIMSDA) has already sought the support of the IMA central branch and to fight this until it is resolved.
