Hubballi: The angry Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) doctors have decided to roll up their sleeves to fight against a television channel, which broadcasted a sting operation against the doctors in foul language. The doctors are upset that the sting operation was baseless and ill-intentioned and claim that its sole aim was to tarnish the image of doctors and the KIMS institute.

The doctors attached to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences Doctors Association (KIMSDA) convened a meeting under the leadership of Association president Dr Rajashekhar Dundaraddy and its secretary Dr Suresh Huchchannavar. And the decision to combat with the channel directly was taken at the emergency general body meeting of KIMSDA, a highly placed source confirmed it to this web portal.
The doctors present in the meeting condemned the broadcasting of the sting operation, claimed that it was baseless and presented in a wrong manner only to tarnish the image of genuine doctors.
The doctors decided to garner the support of the local Indian Medical Association, State IMA and Central IMA. The doctors also decided to continue their protest without stopping their regular work. They said that they will continue to treat Covid, non-covid and black fungus affected patients.
The doctors were angry about using abusive language used by the channel against the doctors. They said that they fight against such wrong intentioned programme. One doctor said that they are united and no one can break their unity this time come whatever it may be. “We did not fear for Covid infection, then the question of fearing to this channel will not arise. This just a matter of time and we need to remain united,” the doctor said to hubliexpress.com.
