Hubballi: The PMSSY Super Specialty Hospital building on the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences campus, which was dedicated to treating Covid patients, will begin nursing patients in need of super speciality care from Tuesday.
According to Dr Ramalingappa Antartani, the Director of KIMS, who confirmed this to hubliexpress.com, non-covid patients who require super speciality treatments would be treated at the PMSSY Super Speciality building from Tuesday.
“We have made all the arrangements to serve the patients at the hospital,” he said.
He stated, “The Covid patients will be treated in the cardiology block, which has all the facilities necessary for the Covid-infected patients.”
The Out-Patient Department will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning tomorrow, according to Dr. Ramalingappa. The OPD hours were shortened because of a low flow of non-covid patients, he said, adding that a large number of patients sought treatment and consultation at the OPD wing on Monday.
Nitesh Patil, Deputy Commissioner, expressed his happiness that the PMSSY facility will be serving non-covid patients who require super specialised care. It is good news for patients who aren’t Covid patients.
The structure was useful in both the first and second waves of the Covid pandemic, according to the doctors, where thousands of Covid patients were treated.
