Hubballi: As many as 92 black fungus affected patients are being treated at the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here on Saturday.
The doctors are treating the black fungus or mucormycosis infected patients with Posaconazole tablets and as well as Liposomal Amphotericin B injection.
Deputy medical superintendent of KIMS Dr Rajshekhar Dyaberi told that the hospital has received 300 Posaconazole tablets on Friday and another 700 tablets would reach the hospital by night. He also informed that the KIMS is expecting another 110 vials of Amphotericin and it is expected to deliver by late night, he said.
The district administration said that in the district total of 113 patients infected with black fungus availing treatment at various hospitals, 92 patients admitted at KIMS, 20 patients are getting treatment at the SDM hospital and one patient is being treated at Taluka hospital in Kundagol.
